The purpose of a site assessment is to systematically observe and record your lifting equipment or rigging equipment, as well as, your procedures and records. This is not an inspection, but rather a general site assessment, by which opportunities or improvements may be identified. After the site assessment, we will review the observations and make recommendations.
The site assessment is based on the applicable ASME standards, as well as, “best practices” observed by
J. Henry Holland, with over 100 years of experience in the lifting equipment and rigging equipment industry. The results of the site assessment are for your use only. We would, however, like to offer our assistance to work with your company in developing and implementing a course of action to further improve your lifting equipment and rigging equipment practices.
The assessment covers the following:
Review of training records for those performing lifting and rigging activities.
Review of records and procedures for inspecting lifting and rigging equipment such as cranes, crane cables, slings and below-the-hook devices.
Purchasing & Inventory
Review the procedure for purchasing and repair of lifting equipment and rigging equipment.
Application & Facility Review
Review of lifting practices and applications.
